The pleading and the begging
We hear more of every day
May be iatrogenic-and used
In the ultimate clever way
By all who market products
And see the sales declining-
They market to the gullible
To get them to start whining
They need drugs and scooters-
They must have it all today
They are broke and helpless-
Those who are taxed must pay...
Maybe it is just me, but I’m tired of seeing the sales commercials for everything in the private and public sector from drugs to EBT cards being hawked to the gullible among us with the promise that taxpayers will foot the bill because they are really a helpless victim of-something...
A++++
Really excellent job, and I agree with your sentiments completely. That “free scooter” ad has always annoyed me. It’s the complete opposite of the “can do” spirit that made this country great. JFK’s famous line at his Inauguration has gotten flipped into: “Ask not what you can do for your country, but what your country can do for you.” Lovely!
