Aptonyms! Aren’t they great? I once lived in a town where Dr. Pulliam was the oral surgeon.
Of course, when I was in college, Mary Beth Overfelt was pitied when all the best sororities refused to pledge her because they feared for their reputations.
When our family doctor sent my husband to a dermatologist named Dr. Rasch and my husband made a joke about it, our very witty doctor responded, “Yes, my name, Dr. Jablonsky, led me to become an internist!”
And I don’t know what to say about the friend of ours who is named Dr. Lawyer.
My best friend was so excited about his long lost uncle’s death and that he was the only heir to the family fortunes, but he soon found out that the will was aptonym the sole heir as the uncle’s pet rooster.

I have seen suggestions for laying christmas lights on the ground around our delicate vegetation and covering with tarps to keep a bit of warmth if we get freezing rain. I don’t have anything that will die but many folks down here do.... those palm trees look horrible when we have a hard freeze. We got to 32 last night but not for long

—unless you say "he's gotta be Joshing us"—
more so what you might call an ironym, particularly with his surname ...
