Most of my friends are buried but they live in the snow belt. Here on Grand Island the sun is shining but cold. My shop is in S Buffalo buried and I cannot get there to plow it out.

I am in Depew. Five miles north they tell me the sun is shining and they can see their lawns.

now in Buffalo? In winter? Who would have guessed?

That is indeed strange. I was expecting anything but that.

You still with us? Just saw some video on CNN. If you’re in the wrong spot you’re getting hammered with snow.

Usually lake effect bands oscillate. This one has stayed in just one place. I am just east of South Buffalo. Cheektowaga/Depew area. Five miles north, the roads are bare. Here I am socked in to the rafters. The middle of my street is chest deep, and even the plows can't get here (too many stuck cars clogging too many roads).

Very localized if 5 miles away the roads are bare. Being in such a snow belt region while this one is severe I hope you are prepared for such snowfalls. Obviously your internet is still working.

How are things today? I see your governor is calling for all the help that he can get.

I still have a four foot blanket of snow covering my street. Haven’t been able to get out for two days. We hope the plows will come through today. We shoveled out our driveway, and today I plan to shovel off the roof. All in all things are fine. Out of beer though. Thanks for checking in.
