FULL TITLE: 'She would come home and say she didn't want to live': The inspiring story of Isabelle, 11, who was born as a boy but 'felt like a girl in the wrong body'
'Just be yourself' is what so many children and adults alike are told every day. But for some this is much more of a challenge than for others.
'If you don't be yourself, you're going to be miserable for your whole life,' is the advice that comes from 11-year-old Isabelle.
Isabelle was born as a boy called Campbell, but told her parents last year just weeks after she turned ten she felt as though she was stuck in the wrong body.
In a documentary set to air on ABC's Four Corners on Monday evening, she and her family have chosen to share their story to encourage others to speak out.

XX or XY? Whichever, encourage him/her to face reality. In the end that is the only answer to a happy life. Mutilating oneself is no answer.
The poor child has mental issues and should receive counceling rather than acceptance of what Campbell thinks he is........
I can just feel the inspiration crawling along my skin.
Yep. This child is destined for depression and other mental illness throughout it’s life.
An 11-year-old simply does not have the decision-making ability to make such a life-altering choice. When I was 11, I wanted to be an astronaut but fortunately my parents did not strap me into the cockpit of a Saturn V and send me off into space.
Sadly, this is likely not to end well.
Science says that Y chromosome means you’re a guy. Period.
“How many legs does a dog have, if you call his tail a leg? The answer is four, because calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it a leg.”- Abraham Lincoln
“When I was 11, I wanted to be an astronaut but fortunately my parents did not strap me into the cockpit of a Saturn V and send me off into space. “
I’m sure there were times your parents wanted too!! LOL
Science is only relevant when it works in their favor.
......is STILL a boy, water is STILL wet, and I STILL have to go to work tomorrow.
Why is this issue so important to the Left? There must be a reason, and it is NOT sympathy for the plight of a sexually confused young person.
I had an friend in college who thought he was black on the inside, but stuck in a white body. He was very depressed about it.
The parents, counselors, teachers etc etc will never let this boy change his mind. Probably a future teen suicide.
Yours is the only pertinent question here.
Do with this as you will. But I don't think this is a question of left and right as you have suggested but rather one of good versus evil.
Makes sense to me.
Whenever I face serious personal crisis, I always seek out the sage advice of the nearest 11 year old.
That's the thread of consistency which ties together their whole program: contraception-sterilization-abortion-buggery, videoporn, masturbation addiction, corruption of morals of middle-schoolers via vice indoctrination as sex-ed, lesbianism, radical gender ideology, the deconstruction of marriage and family.
It's to destroy the flourishing of natural sex and natural marriage, which leads to natural procreation. Of the one species they truly despise.
I’d be depressed about that, too!
Campbell’s parents...need some serious counseling
"Be yourself" = Burger King ?
