NO, tell me it isn’t so!
Wives are known to complain about one thing or another,
sometimes it is best to walk out the door and
take your chances with the weather.
When I hear my wife yell and scream
I pray that it is only a dream
and hope that she will be appeased by a scoop of ice cream
but as I sense the throes of reality
I conjour up pleasant thoughts to maintain my sanity
and with those thoughts racing in my head
I quietly lay down in my bed
and hope that the journey is deep
as I finally drift off to sleep.
