I have the DVD of the fourth season, and in the episode The Grove, Carol, Tyreese and the girls stay at an abandoned house for a few days. On the DVD they said the house location really was an abandoned house. It had been foreclosed a couple of years ago. The prep work for the house included clearing out all the brush that had grown in a couple of years around the house. The background of this scene is what the whole yard looked like.
Well I guess that might make filming difficult. : )
Gotta suspend a lot of disbelief sometimes but still a great show
“Gotta suspend a lot of disbelief sometimes...”
When something like this happens on the show I usually respond to my family with “This show is soooooo fake. Who the heck is going to mow their lawn during the Zombie Apocalypse. Although I suppose they could have sheep and goats. Okay - I guess it could be true.”
In the comics, Euge ends up becoming useful in a way that conservatives should really appreciate. :) I hope they keep it in the show.
That episode of Hell on Wheels was one of the most powerful hours of television I’ve ever seen. The sense of dread just built and built through her last night. I’m glad they didn’t go the route of having her reject her faith because of her loss. We’re used to characters like that being rescued at the last minute, so it took some guts on the part of the writers to have it happen.
The writing for Ruth and Kasha Kropinski's acting were spectacular. Kropinski showed every shade of dread and every stone of faith.
One thing that struck me was that the scene of the townspeople waiting vigil was believeable. How do you develop a character over four years so that such a scene becomes believable?
very nice....
Watch out, there’s a Democrat voter coming up behind you!
HoW this season is the don’t miss show. I was riveted to the episode. Ruth(Kasha Kropinski) deserves every award given for acting.
Woman:”God hasn’t given up on this place!”
Bohannon: “This weren’t his doi’n.”
LOL-Good one.
