Today's feature is legendary director Howard Hawks' most underrated film. His only foray into the genre of 1950s CinemaScope ancient world historical epic, this film tells the tale of Egyptian pharaoh Khufu(Jack Hawkins) and the building of the great pyramid. Joan Collins plays his treacherous 2nd wife Nellifer. It and "5 Fingers" feature my favorite endings to a 1950s film.

I was one in ‘55. We didn’t get a TV until ‘61 or so.
This and many more movies like this were my window to the world before this farm kid left for the city.
