I am sure there are many people on this forum who work with liberal dems. I know I have, and I do.

90% of the time we can be the best of friends. The 10% we are not is the two weeks before and after an election.

And most of the time, we agree on 95% of issues. And when we disagree, it is done agreeably.

This is the way most Americans lived before the internet. It is the basis of what all of our mothers told us about not discussing politics or religion on polite company.

Nowadays we find ourselves in the self-selected communities where we all think alike and alternative opinions are crushed.

The fact that the men who have been President find more points that are familiar than not should not surprise anyone. It is the basis of things such as fraternal organizations (Freemasons, the VFW, Shriners, etc) where people come from a common background or uniting principle.

And as long as your daughters and wives are locked up or otherwise entertained, Bill Clinton is probably fun to hang out with. You gotta believe the has the best toys, cigars, and liquor out there.

I agree with your post and also would like to add - that being a former President of the U.S. is a very small club. I think they can talk over their terms in the WH and understand each other, like no one else can. I doubt that Obama will have anything to do with the former presidents when his time is up - he isn’t of the same mold.
