On an individual level, there are plenty of progressives who are honest and plenty of conservatives who aren’t …
No, not on either an individual level or mass level. Being a progressive means to be a denier of truth by definition, and if a self-professed conservative is not honest, then that person is not a conservative.

When Republicans win, it means the left won the argument and it’s a victory for Hillary.

“Tim Storey, the bipartisan group’s election analyst, observed, “Democrats will control the lowest number of state legislatures since 1860.””

Do you think it’s fair to say “...the lowest number of state legislatures since 1860, when the Democrats were so recently repudiated by the Republicans (like Lincoln) for their fervent fight to continue slavery in the South.”

Or is that going to far?

It was dysfunctional before the election and it’ll remain dysfunctional.

Republican President - dissenters are noble and good. Democrat President - dissenters are evil racists and obstructionists.
