To: Hillarys Gate Cult

Having seen the live theater broadcast of the final Python show, yes the years are wearing. John Cleese repeatedly got lost if anyone else improvised a line (even with electronic cue cards).

And the material is a bit shop worn (the audience goes in knowing the punchlines). Interesting to see one more dust off but a tour would’ve been redundant.

Seeing Monty Python without Graham was like seeing The Beatles without John.

DVD of the show just came out. I saw it too but lost about the first half hour due to bad local weather at my theater causing the DISH TV feed to go out. I asked for a refund because of that. I probably will buy the DVD.

If you get the DVD “Monty Python Live ( mostly ) do not introduce any new Python fans with it. Go with the older stuff first. The show wasn’t perfect and did rely allot on their fans knowledge, memories, and good graces. Still liked what I saw.

The bit with Professor Brian Cox and Theoretical Physicist Stephen Hawking was total Python;
