I’m a capitalist. I just wish people didn’t sacrifice these once sacred days just to make a cheap buck.

Soon Thanksgiving will be completely eradicated because there wont be a point. Might as well just go to work like it was a normal day.

Sometimes capitalists can be their own worst enemy as they are prone to shoot themselves in the foot.

I think it is too many people chasing too few dollars but in my mind, there are some lines that should not be crossed and this is one of them. I keeps thinking to the movie "War Games" where the "only winning move is not to play." I work for one of those outfits that's open Thanksgiving. I did not choose a shift, I did not know who I'll be spending Thanksgiving with. My mother is gone, lost her a year ago last November 18th. B-( I always spent it with Mom. Even so, there are people I want to spend it with like my father and step-mom or my gradeschool buddy. My father isn't planning anything so it is with the latter. I have a Black Friday shift instead. I'm willing to do my fair share of the load and go 100 percent plus, but there are some things that should never be crossed. Sigh..... I miss the Blue Laws.

I did work at an outfit open on Thanksgiving back in 2012 and went in like 8 PM. I felt bad, she did not like it, it cut it short with Mom and it was her last Thanksgiving on the face of the Earth so that's another reason to heap on my objections. Black Friday is bad enough, but leave Thanksgiving and most other holidays alone.
