I agree. I have never thought evolution and Genesis were incompatible.
If you believe in God, then evolution tells you that God made mankind from “the dust of the ground”, right?
Nobody, and I mean nobody on Free Republic, argues that evolution proves there is no God, but many, many posters argue that God requires there be no evolution.
If you believe in God as the creator then it means God directs and causes evolution in every aspect.

It may surprise you that I also believe the earth was not the first place to have human life,
But the purpose of the bible seems to me to be in helping us to get to where we are going rather than where we have been.

I would add that the results of evolution were His plan, from the beginning.
Well, of course, human life preexisted in the Mind of God, but there is neither Biblical nor scientific evidence suggesting humans lived on some other planet before coming here.

But the evidence is based on just a few facts, and they do not call it anything except their theory.
And evolution is no different except they call it facts, which I believe is going overboard.
