I’m unfamiliar with the area. Newark NJ is designed to minimize the impact of an unruly underclass; the small downtown isn’t really close to the slums. If they riot in their own neighborhoods, nobody else would even know.

In the past few weeks, the ‘protesters’ have been outside Cardinal games and tried to rush into some municipal offices in St. Louis.

They seem to be inclined to take the protest out of the neighborhood (those windows are already broken). I’m sure the game plan will containment...I hope they can contain it...but who knows.

Most of the crime has of course been in Ferguson...but if you fish around you can find a few malls that were closed for a few hours, that are a good distance away.

Most ominous - the yellow ‘envelope’ symbols are where Community Organizing type activities have occurred - vigils, meetings, etc....and that is spread all over the area, to include downtown.
