In a recent Democratic National Committee email, actress Scarlett Johansson said if Republicans win control of the Senate they will take away a womans right to choose. Johnansson, who has starred in Hollywood hits including Iron Man and Lost in Translation, is no stranger to the pro-abortion movement. In 2008 and 2012, she campaigned for Barack Obama, the most pro-abortion president in U.S. History; and she has repeatedly supported Planned Parenthood.
In fact, in August she designed a t-shirt on behalf of the abortion giant. As LifeNews previously reported, the pink t-shirt read, Hey Politicians! The 1950s called on the front. And on the back, the shirts say: They want their sexism back! Text on the left sleeve is signed, Love Scarlett Johansson. She also said young women are the key to the mid term elections and its more important than ever that young women register to vote and vote for the candidate that will stand up and fight for them.
scarlettjohanssonAn article in the Washington Examiner shares more about Johanssons letter. The author, Ashe Schow, wrote the following:
Despite the Lefts insistence that abortion is one of the few things women voters care about, the word abortion rarely makes it into their campaign ads. The reason abortion supporters call themselves pro-choice is that theyd rather not say the word. Abortion isnt actually as popular as they would have you believe it doesnt poll well, and other than the first three months of pregnancy, large majorities of Americans think it should be illegal.
And so it is with a recent Democratic National Committee email sent on behalf of actor Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow from The Avengers), which claimed that if the GOP wins control of the Senate, they will take away a womans right to choose.
The email vaguely describes that choice as the right to make her own personal health care decisions, but never says that the only decision they mean is abortion.
Of course, one reason for a lack of healthcare choices that Johansson wont mention is Obamacare, which dictates what kind of health insurance everyone must have, and even takes away the choice to forgo insurance for those who are young and healthy.
Without the word abortion, this email deceptively accuses the GOP of wanting to take away all womens choices.
Johanssons letter begs the question, since when are all women everywhere pro-abortion? Abortion supporters like Johansson make sweeping generalizations that imply that all young women want to vote for candidates who are pro-abortion. However, the truth is countless women vote pro-life.

Also, as Schow pointed out, most people are pretty uncomfortable with abortion. This is because many citizens in our country take issue with killing a baby in utero. A poll conducted earlier this year by The Polling Company revealed that 58% Americans believe that abortion should be illegal in all or most circumstances. The circumstances in which most people believe abortion should be available are in cases of rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.
In other words, its probably safe to say most Americans dont support abortion for any and all reasons. So of course Planned Parenthood, pro-abortion candidates, and the entire abortion industry leave abortion out of much of their vocabulary; well, that is unless you live in Colorado where Senator Mark Udall has used abortion as a campaign platform. But all you have to do is take a quick look at the polls to see how thats served him in the midterm elections; yes, thats right..hes losing.
They just don’t want to take responsibility for anything. Instead of using birth control or abstaining, they choose to forgo taking basic precautions and prefer to leave it up to ‘fate’ or some other garbage.
To them, abortion is more ‘decent’ than ending up taking responsibility for their sexual health and choices and getting the pills or going to a doctor. As if getting a pill to prevent pregnancy, or some kind of injection, makes them worse than going to a clinic and killing their unborn kid.
Like the “good christian girls” who for some reason don’t just get one abortion and learn, they have to get a few under the uterus until they realize they should be living their lives differently.
I knew she was too damn good looking to have a brain.
This reminds me of the hysterical rant by Cameron Diaz back in the run-up to the 2004 (?) election. I think she was on Oprah when she declared that if Republicans were to win, then rape would be legal.
Soooo very stupid.
Scarlett, Is killing your baby really the most important freedom you want to protect?
Some people think she’s hot, I think she looks like a dumb twit.
Her acting sucks too....
But they consider any compromise a "slippery slope" even as they slip into legalized murder of the fully born.
A ridiculous argument and one that will never happen in my lifetime............
Oboy, she’s gone off-script again.
To “choose” what, Scarlett?
Why not say the word?
The only abortion I would possibly be for is if all these liberals’ parents had aborted them.
Tell that to a liberal and watch their heads explode.
Her best role is an assassin... go figure.
how’d she find out about our super-secret planning sessions? /sarc
She might be better off putting a cork in it ... if she can find one big enough to fit.
