A surge arrestor is a good idea, I think that I'll install one.
Since we installed ours, no problems.
Before, when we had a power failure, I would shut a bunch of circuit breakers to the appliances off until the power came back on.
The electrician literally just snapped the arrestor into place—it looks like a double circuit breaker. I am not an electrician so I had one do the work thinking it would involve wiring etc.
When I saw him do and he was done in one second, I was like “Duh!”
