I guess they are going to win the World Series in 2016 and 2018 as well.

Even though I dislike parts of SF, AT&T park is by far the best ball park around. The views are amazing and it’s fun taking the train up to the city.

The bottom line is to win championships and the Giants have won three in five years.
But I would also add that in each championship season, the Giants seem to use heavily one young talented ace pitcher...and then a couple years later that young heavily used ace pitcher is washed up.
Let's see if Bumgarner winds up like the rest of them.

Awesome performance by Madison Bumgarner in the post-season, in this series, and in relief tonight in Game 7. He's been a beast in October, NLCS and World Series MVP, and he's now got 4 World Series wins and 1 World Series save with an unholy 0.25 ERA in the big games in 2010, 2012 and now 2014. The most dominant October performance I've ever seen by a pitcher. The regular season may belong to Clayton Kershaw and Felix Hernandez, but in the post-season Bumgarner's only competition comes from pitchers in the all-time record books. And to cap it off, he's just 25 - younger than both the NL and AL rookies of the year.
Terrific World Series - the Royals are a seriously good team, outstanding bullpen, defense, team speed. The Giants have a comparable bullpen, but Peavy and Hudson both are well past their primes and Travis Ishikawa playing out of position is a butcher in the outfield. Could easily have gone the other way, and the Giants would have had no business in any of the post-season series were it not for Bumgarner.

My local team The Royals couldn’t hit against Bumgarner. They should have done better before he came in and they could have won. Fans who payed stayed around to support the team. They were still Cheering. Royals tried to do something but it failed in the 9th. Butler and Shields are gone as they will be given super expensive contracts by other teams.
Nobody could hit against Madison Bumgarner.

It’s a sad commentary on the state of MLB when no other teams can beat the injury-ravaged, weak-hitting Giants. Boche is a great manager.

Grew up a Bosox fan in the 60’s and 70’s and became a Giant’s fan after moving to CA in ‘81. Until 2004 the teams I was passionate about had never won a World Series in my lifetime. Now, in the past 11 years, they’ve won 6 Championships. Guess it was worth 4 decades of suffering....

Great series and great, exciting final game.
I’m a Giants fan but the Royals have nothing to be ashamed about. For all the other trash talkers on this thread...better luck next year.
