Cornell West is just another liberal academic huckster, of which I am not sure where in the pantheon he ranks of liberal academic hucksters.
I’m not sure “huckster” is severe enough. Con artists just steal and leave. Cornel West destroys lives and families with a rare malevolence. What he does is as vile in its way was a drug dealer who gives free samples of heroin out at an elementary school.
Of course, Noam Chomsky is by far the greatest destroyer of black lives and fortunes perhaps in history. His “whole language English” instruction scheme reduced them from being academically almost on a par with whites, to such a low level of literacy today that many are even denied an elementary education.
The only racist at his level of malevolence is Margaret Sanger. And between the two they may eradicate slave-descended black people in the United States.
But West does his part by crippling what could have been their best and brightest future leaders.
