It’s actually West Harlem—not exactly a neighborhood where one would expect a white doctor to live. Left-wing fruit loops usually live on the Upper West Side or Greenwich Village.
Thanks.
It’s actually Hamilton Heights, the neighborhood between Harlem and Washington Heights (named for Alexander Hamilton, who lived there when it was still farmland). Used to be a pretty rough neighborhood, has gentrified rapidly over the past ten years or so. There are actually quite a few doctors in the area (particularly young doctors, and “public interest” doctors like Dr. Spencer), because it is easily accessible to Columbia Presbyterian and several other large hospitals.
