Tamara Lusardi, a transgender who transitioned from male to female, has won his case against the Department of the Army for discrimination and humiliation, based on a report from the U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC).
In 2010, Lusardi was working for the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Research Development and Engineering Center as a civilian employee, and announced that he was now officially beginning his transition from male to female. Lusardi changed his name and began dressing as a woman, at which point management held a meeting to accommodate Tamara in the workforce. Management supported Lusardi and repeatedly stated that they intended to treat him fairly and accommodate in any way possible, yet emphasized that they also wanted to ensure a safe workplace for everyone.
In light of these concerns, Lusardi voluntarily agreed to use the executive restroom, given that he had not undergone gender transition surgery and several female employees had expressed serious concern about sharing a restroom with a man presenting as a woman.
However, Lusardi didnt stick to the agreement, using the female restroom on three separate occasions between January and March 2011. After females again reported discomfort, Lusardi was informed that he should continue to use the executive restroom as agreed, but he protested. But discomfort is relevant, according to the OSC, an office which holds that regardless of Lusadis initial agreement, he should be able to change his mind and use the female restroom whenever he sees fit. Employee preferences are irrelevant to the legality of the issue and must be changed through training.
Particularly egregious for Lusardi was the fact that one of his supervisors continued to refer to him as Sir in email communications. This made it difficult for Lusardi to sleep at night. Tamara also alleges that over the course of time he was denied work.
[T]he Agency inappropriately restricted [Tamaras] restroom usage, repeatedly failed to use her proper name and pronouns, and subjected her and her workplace conversations to increased review and scrutiny, the report noted. The move represents a serious follow through of Obamas executive order from July, which bans workplace discrimination against LGBT federal government employees or contractors.
As a part of OSC recommendations, the Army will now mandate additional sensitivity training for supervisors and employees regarding LGBT issues.
But Klinger, fictional character that he be, was trying to get a
“Section 8” to get OUT of the Army.
Exactly. He’d now realize he’d be wasting his time, in fact, these days dressing up is a good way to get promoted.
They arent going to hurt you in any way, except maybe the masculine lesbians,...So why the HELL are they in the US Armed Forces?
It was a civilian installation, but I have been wondering the same thing.
Actually, my husband knows two men who are now women, one of which he knew from Vietnam. Both men/women say that it was the worst mistake of their lives, but too late to undo what was done. They just go through life in a kind of limbo, worse off than they were before.
Oh, yes, I live in a sheltered little world. From NYC to Florence, Italy I’ve seen transvestites and mutilated men pretending to be women. I’ve even been menaced by an out-of-control drag queen on a bus in Greenwich Village. He was scratching the faces of passengers with his long red fingernails. I worked at Studio 54 right before the AIDs crisis. I’ve been to leather bars, gay bars and a place called The Crisco Disco. Taught me everything I needed to know about gay men - and yet I still hung out with them. It wasn’t until the gay agenda and lavender mafia took over and political correctness ruled the day that I ditched them.
Then, of course, there was the transvestite or mutilated man who kept in and out of the ladies room in a department store in Rome. In and out, in and out, high as a kite and scaring women away from relieving themselves.
Go away, kid, you bother me.
From people who have had run ins with Tamara, whom I shall refer to as it:
It decided it wanted to harass a woman in the women’s restroom by asking the real woman if it could borrow a tampon. It also harassed a man by flashing it’s “boobs,” a behavior that would get any other person into serious trouble.
I don’t know if any of this has anything to do with the actual complaint this clown brought against the govt., but I do believe that the harassment was an attempt to get a reaction that it could use against the people involved.
Unfortunately, the clown knew what it was doing. It was the women on that base who did not want to share the bathroom with it. But the complaint is against the govt. Now, knowing Obama, all the women on US military bases will have to suffer these idiotic clowns.
Drag Queens are not the same as transgendered people.
I’m trying to figure out if you’re a kid (1998 kind of defeats that argument) or if you are a typical suburban woman who saw a road show version of “La Cage Aux Folles.” The later has done much to bring about the gay agenda with their ludicrous sentimental views of gay male coupling.
Mutilated men (not transgendered) are pathetic, disordered people. The doctors who cut them up should be shot. As Gertrude Stein said of gay men and their proclivities, I would say the same about mutiliated men: they must take drugs to palliate their actions.
Give it a rest, Missy. You seem to have irrational fears of of people with abnormal sexual proclivities. I can’t help you with that.
IBTZ!
What does IBTZ mean?
Yes, you’re obviously a well-insulated suburban woman who occasionally runs into a friendly florist.
The Viking Kitties!
uh-uh-uh....no hands!!!Let's keep it equal
The point I was attempting to make, and not very successfully, is that the if you take off your men’s cloths and put on a woman’s cloths the army considers you have “transitioned”.
The next time at a college football game I think I’m going to “transition” myself into the cheerleaders’ locker room.
