WEST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Kat Von D Thursday attacked at CBS2/KCAL9 news crew after a fire damaged her famous West Hollywood tattoo shop.
“You guys want a f***ing interview, seriously? You guys, come on. Have some f***ing respect. Seriously, do you feel better about yourself? Oh yeah, get the lens, you f***ing idiot,” Von D said outside her shop after she charged a camerawoman, pushed the camera repeatedly and knocked off the woman’s hat. She also went after another news crew’s camera that was on the scene.
Von D was warned by LA County Sheriff’s deputies, but ignored them and went after the CBS2 camera again, this time surrounded by her employees from High Voltage Tattoo.
“Dude, your guys are awful. Your mother should be embarrassed,” she said.
The fire was reported at 4:07 a.m. at a single-story strip mall in the 1200 block of N. La Brea Avenue in West Hollywood, the Los Angeles County Fire Department said.
It was knocked down at 4:33 a.m.
A barber shop, restaurant, High Voltage Tattoos, where the reality TV show “LA Ink” was filmed, and Wonderland Gallery, also owned by Von D, were damaged, however, estimates were not available.
High Voltage Tattoo was destroyed and firefighters red-tagged the shop, deeming it unsafe to occupy due to structural damage.
Firefighters were able to save some of the shop’s memorabilia.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
In 2010, Von D’ s Hollywood Hills home burned down, killing her cat.

Aesthetically, the total is less than the sum of its parts. Each tattoo may or may not be a work of art (each is certainly a work of craft), but the totality of it unfortunately results in ugliness.
Well, to be fair: Elvira wasn’t pretty low class herself — lots of lowrider vibe going on with her.
I wonder if she’s that volatile in other facets of her life that are emotive?
No pretty woman ever became more pretty by getting stupid tattoos.
Sounds like a fine upstanding pillar of the Community. Why can’t these people show a little respect?/S
I have to wonder if she’s tattooed all over, I mean, like, ALL over? Only her hairdresser knows for sure.
