The truth in the US is that the vast majority of women work and then they come home and cook dinner, clean the house and take care of the kids til the Lord of the Manor gets home. So if they got paid for being a chef, maid and nanny in addition to their 40 hour per week job they would be rich.

As far as your chef, maid, and babysitter BS is concerned, a man could hire such help and it would be much cheaper than having a wife.
