I was a victim of a similar scheme back in the early 70’s. The city school district made the decision to create diversity in all of the schools in Hanford, CA.
My family lived on the northeast edge of town with an elementary school 5 blocks away. We were told we had to be bussed to the southeast side of town to an elementary school in the (ahem) “poorer” section of town. Of course the individuals from the other side of town were bussed 4 miles to our nearby elementary school. There were other schools in the district who had to do this. Idk if they continue to do this. We moved....
Worst two years of my elementary school career. It was open season on the cracker kids from across town.

I do feel sorry for all kids who get bused for “diversity.” They’re pawns in a stupid game.
