Something I missed in last week's episode is that it looked like Morgan showed up a few minutes after Rick and the group left the railroad tracks. However, there is some build up of the greenery and the sign is a bit faded, so it's possible that Morgan came upon the "NO Sanctuary" sign weeks or months after Rick and the group left.
