Well, I am perplexed.
If some don’t know they are pregnant, don’t recognize the signs, such as missed periods, I don’t know what to say.
Some women don’t miss periods during pregnancy. Or some women’s periods are so irregular that it does not make a difference. That whole “missing a period” does not apply to every woman. The only way to really know if your pregnant is to take a pregnancy test. Or have an ultra sound.
Like women who are to thin, women who are to FAT may not have regular periods. So you could miss a few, or have lighter than normal ones. If you did not get the usual pregnancy signs of sore breast and puking your guts up, you might not notice it until someone kicking started to happen.
Most of us are not that lucky, sick from week 1 until 3 days before birth on #1, the other 3 were the typical 3 months. I was so small with the last, no one (outside family) but me knew I was until the last 3 months.
Not noticing the foot sticking out against her stomach, the kicks, and the rolling over seems kind of odd too. Except for the rare person who was bored watching Alien and said, “oh, that happens all the time”, just about everyone else would find the events of pregnancy kind of odd if they didn’t know there was a baby inside.
A missed period doesn’t’ mean much. Some of us skip for months at time if there’s a stressful situation going on. If a missed period automatically means pregnancy I’d make Michelle Duggar look like an amateur.
It’s rare, but some women continue to get their periods even while pregnant. I don’t know if that was the case with the woman in this story, but it does happen.
