I have not heard of any of the illegal immigrants getting this, have you? Are they just carriers and otherwise immune?

I haven’t seen any evidence linking this to illegals (plenty of speculation, though, and the timing is a bit suspicious). Best I can tell, enterovirus often pops up this time of year, and (like the flu, cold, etc) each year there tends to be one or two strains that are more common than others. This year it is E68, which is worse than most.

No, I have not heard of any illegals getting this. It's all well and good to blame it on the recent influx of "children" but it's not clear with exact specifics how these children are getting exposed in such separated parts of the country.
The CDC evidently doesn't want any more information put out there, if they know, so it just fuels the speculation.
