FULL TITLE: Furious protesters torch and hang the US flag upside down in second night of St Louis protests over cop killing of black teen
Protesters have clashed with cops for a second night in St Louis, Missouri following the fatal shooting of black 18-year-old Vonderrit Myers Jr., who was gunned down by an off-duty police officer on Wednesday.
Demonstrators burned American flags, blacked intersections, banged drums and taunted police as they gathered in Shaw to protest the teenager's death at the hands of the unidentified cop - just moments after they had met for a quiet candle-lit vigil for Myers.
Police in riot gear lined up on a high street as protesters yelled abuse and profanities at the officers, who silently stood their ground - although some used pepper spray to force the crowd back. Police helicopters buzzed above the neighborhood.
Some protesters burned the American flag, while others banged on drums and shouted: 'This is what democracy looks like!' Others slammed the sides of police vans. Shop windows were shattered and broken glass littered the street.

Yep
I do not think that word means what you think it means.

I was thinking I can certainly understand hanging the flag that way. Wanting to do so myself but for entirely different reasons.
WTH - take away their food stamps, welfare, WIC, and all the other free rides the moochers get and send them to Mexico.
“blacked intersections, “
Wow....you can do that?
They are in the street in Ferguson and will be going to South St. Louis later. Bigger crowd.
They’re really pushing for their Chicago convention moment but are so ignorant they don’t know how it turned out.
Yep, nail salons come cheap and by the dozen.
“gunned down”
Well, that’s objective journalism for you! /sarc>
How about the truth, like: “killed while attempting to murder a police officer”?

What are these lemmings going to do for Act III, burn down their own houses? They are going to have to be more entertaining, because the nation is talking about Ebola, not Ferguson’s tiff with the police. If they keep this up, the public will think they need a strong police force for such unruly mobs.
I guess they can claim that shooting at a cop is because “they scared”.
Criminals get “gunned down” from time to time. It’s an occupational hazard.

If those policemen were still around, they’d think Darren Wilson and George Zimmerman were Quakers.
Hey, that sentence works for Michael Brown too! I should be a journalist.

We have seen the pathology of the African-American "community" for years now and it's proclivity toward conspiracy theories. We have seen the kind of preaching that goes on in black churches by demagogues like Reverend Wright. The frightening truth is that African-Americans are very much liable to believe anything, especially conspiracy theories about repression of their race by whites. They rationalize and blame Whitey for their own failings. Worse, they show an increasing inclination to align themselves with Muslims. This started in American jails and now, evidently, it is quite openly being conducted on the streets of American ghettos. Mosques there are reportedly thriving.
Hispanics in America might well become dominated by demagogues in organizations like la Raza. To the degree that occurs the threat arises that they will combine with African-Americans who will have become Muslim.
While Obama's Homeland Security warns us about the dangers of domestic terrorists coming from dangerous Christians, we on FreeRepublic might begin to connect other dots. In doing so we will no doubt be decried as conspiratorialists and, certainly, as racists but labels do not change and underlying reality if it is actually there.
The voices of reason in the African-American community are being drowned out by the demagogues. La Raza is thoroughly anti-American. The threat might be inchoate but it is nonetheless potentially very real.
