“I wish to complain.”
“You want to complain ... look at these shoes ... I’ve only had them three weeks and the heels are worn right through.”
Way off topic but complaining about shoes reminds me of an old joke;
A young woman decides to become a nun and she is taken in to a convent in a remote area.
During her first meeting with the Mother Superior, she is told that she must take a vow of silence and follow all rules to the letter. However, she will have a meeting such as this once per year at which time she will be allowed to speak two words.
The first year goes by and when the young nun meets with the Mother Superior, she receives an update on her progress and is then allowed to speak her two words.
She says, "Shoes tight."
The Mother Superior tells her that she will make sure she gets a pair of better fitting shoes then dismisses the young nun.
Another year goes by and at her second meeting things proceed pretty much as the first. When she is allowed to speak her two words, the nun says, "Bed lumpy."
The Mother Superior assures the young nun that a better mattress will be installed for her.
Life goes on as it does and in another year the young nun meets with the Mother Superiorand when her time comes to speak her two words she says, "I quit."
The Mother Superior responds, "Well, I must say that this is somewhat of a relief because you have done nothing but bitch and complain since you got here!"
