I agree. Most times, Michelle has no excuse for looking so awful. There are clothes to flatter everyone who makes an effort to find them. You don’t have to be tall, skinny, white, or anything else. You just have to have taste, or listen to someone who does.
I got a gorgeous blue ocean-pattern dress at The Salvation Army yesterday. It’s sleeveless, so I may not get a chance to wear it until next year’s warm weather, but it can stay in my closet for $2. Sally said, “I wouldn’t wear that!” and I said, “Too bad, because you would look incredible in it, a lot better than I will.” But she has no taste.
You could also wear a bolero with the dress, and gussy it up with blingy thingys.
Poor Sally. She probably has a 1940’s mind-set that precludes experimenting with color and style. She has my deepest sympathy.
