Oh, yes...to respond to your statement:
That which works on the wood will probably also work on the metal, perhaps even better....In all my refinishing projects, (approximately 15) I have come across the admonition repeatedly: "Do not use on metal."
Which explains my quandary about strippers on the metal surfaces. Or it should.
