The sun coming in the window is never there for long, even in the summer, and that is filtered by the lace curtains. I don’t anticipate Sparkle finding it for a while. She is still too skittish to have her out her for long. When she is genuinely glad to see me, and doesn’t hide when I walk in her direction, I will start letting her out of the bedroom. For now, the bedroom is big enough for adjusting.
This morning, instead of retreating to the back of the closet when I turned on the nebulizer, she sat in the closet doorway and watched for a while. I have no clue what she was thinking, but at least there is a little progress from her every day.
She’s probably thinking that the nebulizer is a threat, but not an immediate one, since it hasn’t done anything to her.
The fact that she didn’t hide suggests that it isn’t the sound itself that bothers her, but what it represents. Eventually, she’ll realize that it doesn’t represent anything harmful, and she’ll ignore it.
