Doing okay, thanks. I’m glad I’ve got Webs again, so I could, like, email my church and stuff, not to mention read FR.
Back on the Interwebs, for now, but who knows how long it will last with our lousy ISP. The landline phone still doesn’t work; they think service might be restored by Friday, but don’t quote them ...
Anyway, thank you all so much for your kind words and your prayers on the death of my father and Gunner Anoreth’s grandfather. (And to inform some who didn’t receive the notice last night.) My father passed away peacefully in a Hospice Home in Florida, more than ten years after he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease. My mother was with him, and my brother and I had visited during the last two weeks.
Dad was a 30-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, two years in Vietnam, two years in the Persian Gulf, retired at O-6. He was a native of Missouri. He liked sports cars, guns, dogs, and alcoholic beverages. Anoreth is his true descendant. His ashes will be interred with military honors in a national cemetery in Florida at a more suitable time of the year.
Dad would have liked FR, but he refused to learn to use a computer, even to play solitaire.
(Vociferous thanks to Monkey Face, bestest of friends, for posting for me last night, while I sent txts from my dumbphone.)
Welcome back! I just sent you two texts, so erase then! LOL!
How is your mother doing?
