It sounds, from what you were saying when you first learned of your father’s decline, that perhaps his kidneys were failing him.

I keep praying for all of you, and especially that your dad is in no pain, and is unaware of what is happening. My dad, bless his heart, was fairly lucid one moment and gone the next.

It’s good your mother is finding her composure again. I’m sure she was/is in shock over the sudden downturn of your dad’s health. Prayers for her.

And you...unable to be there for her. Hang tough. *hug*

I hope Pat likes his store-bought hair cut!

Pat is tidily-trimmed and having a shower.

Mom feels guilty because, in spite of being with him almost every day, she wasn’t able to get Dad the care he should have had. It seems as if, at the facility where he was living, they weren’t even trying very hard.
