I guess the high point (or low, if you are Tax-chick) is that her dad took a spill a few nights ago. The good thing is that she flew down to FL yesterday to visit.
The bad thing is that he needs more care than he has been getting. The good thing is Old Tax Lady is seeing that all is shipshape.
The bad thing is that we miss her. The good thing is that she will be back by Saturday evening, I think.
Any questions?
If so, I’m probably not the one to ask...
My prayers are with Tax-chick and her family.
The nurse we met with at noon from “home care services” said they’ll get Dad some therapy to help with his balance, and also that a nurse will check on him weekly. She seemed very competent. He ate a good lunch with Jackie the aide and then would probably have a nap.
He seemed steadier today. Yesterday he would take a couple of steps and then sway backwards, and as he’s pretty tall and a solid build, he could knock over a small helper. Last night’s aide was a good-sized girl, wasn’t going to be bowled over.
Off to dinner!
Reminds me of one of those old, “That’s good!” “No, that’s bad!” routines from Hee-Haw.
My son’s plan lost all its engines in mid-flight.
Thats’ bad!
No, that’s good! He had a parachute.
That’s good!
No, that’s bad! It wouldn’t open.
Oh, that’s bad!
No, that’s good! He was headed straight for a lake.
etc.
