*yawn* morning.

Don’t know where I was last night. Somewhere in the far east, SE Asia maybe?

Saffron and dark red robes on the monks, festival in the street, friendly people, few cars, mostly walking mingling shopping.

Most of the people I encountered were westerners, but the locals would reach into the car and hand me a little worm or give me one on the street while walking, big smile, very friendly.

I was told they were cecropia moth larvae, and one was to eat them, being offered one was something of an honor.

They were sweet, tart, fruity with a somewhat meaty aftertaste and a texture/mouth feel something like tiny bits of bubble wrap. I liked them and had maybe a dozen over the course of the day.
