We’re all fine here, working on getting the house cleaned up before Thanksgiving. Kathleen and the boys are pretending they live on a coral reef ... something to do with a cartoon they’ve been watching. Oh, dear, now Frank is screaming.
Those kids are too young to remember the time we spent at Eniwetok Atoll.
We were finishing up our nuclear reactor program, and doing public service for the resident population, but that was also a time of ingathering for the associated Habitats. One way to set up a group comfortable in a particular time-zone is to collect people who are already in it.
So our Habitat B has a certain flavor of tiny shops, artisans, and seafood varieties. It's a popular destination for travelers on our unique transportation system; eight hours time separation accomplished in several minutes.
Space Habitats are the in thing out here.
