” Wearing a monocle inside a space helmet rather softens the potential sinisterism.”

We can set you up with real or reproduction WWI aviator's goggles.

WWI aviator goggles different among nationalities and within nationalities (I love this period of history).

Prices for real WWI aviator's goggles start around $90, but you're really looking at $250 to $350 at a bare minimum. Many 'real WWI aviation goggles' are pre- and post-war motorcycle goggles, or WWI gas goggles.

Classic Goggles sells different high-quality reproductions. The best was the Becker Horex, which is no longer made by Halcyon. If you want Eddfie Rickenbacker's goggles, the closest is the "Aviator" model made by Leon Jeantet (founded in 1880 and a WWI goggle manufacturer).

The guy you want at Classic Goggles is Leon.
