God is a giver. A giving nature is a sign off Godliness.
Thanks. I try to remember the Ten Commandments every day. It’s the least I can do to thank God for my life...it is truly a gift.
*tagline*
I hope everything goes smoothly today. How nice that Sparkle had a Friendly for you!
We’ve been to the gym, and next I have to go to Walmart (we need catsand) and later to the hardware store. The Cub Scouts are going to start building toolboxes this evening.
Good luck!
I’m going to the Cricket store to get an estimate, then to the USPS to mail a package to Busdaddy’s youngest daughter. He doesn’t have time to do that, you know.
He will be off on Bereavement Leave until Friday, and will be taking his racing engine to Joe Sherman for rebuild on Wednesday, to make it slower, so he can still race while on Warfarin. He went to Joe Sherman 20+ years ago to make the engine faster...and the guy remembered him.
I got official approval for Sparkle from management, but they want me to go into the office to sign something, I think. They set Wednesday as the date, but I have my pre-surgical appointment then. I need to schedule a blood test, as well...another $15 down the drain.
When I get back, I will plan on doing nothing for the rest of the day, as tomorrow, I will be back at Busdaddy’s. My appointment on Wednesday is at 0745, and it’s easier to get there from Busdaddy’s than from here. At least I don’t have to fight the morning rush hour, this way!
Complicated scheduling! I do a lot of that here ...
On good days, I have no problem with complicated scheduling. On bad days, it’s overwhelming. Little by little, I’m wading through what needs to be done.
Yay me.
;o]
I keep records extensively, but that's nothing in comparison to my fastidiousness with regard to harboring grudges.
LMAO!
Besides, they’re in numerical order. It’s not as tough as it looks.
I might be a little bit like Mark Twain. Sam Clemens met a fellow named Tom Sawyer, who was a dynamic individual, a real-life hero, and just an all-round hell of a fellow.
So when Sam needed a real charismatic character for a novel, he ended up immortalizing Tom Sawyer, even more so than Tom had done for himself.
Now, I haven't met anyone quite like that, but I wrote a book last year about a young fellow named Tim, who was a very interesting person as well.
So I might be a little like Mark Twain. I can recognize a character when I meet him!
I wrote a book once.
Wow! I just wrote a book again.
If I keep writing a book at this rate, I’ll have a library.
My problem is that I keep writing half-books.
I need to finish those efforts, but it’s always easier to start something than it is to finish it.
I wrote a half-book.
I wrote a book.
I wrote a library.
It seems about the same level of effort to me.
Now, actually authroing a book (shudder).
That sounds like me and my efforts to reconstruct my dad’s life. He was born in 1890, so there isn’t even a birth certificate.
Right now, I’m hot on the trail of his time as local Kiwanis president, and though I have the paperwork, I need a pin to go with it.
Next will be his school records, if I can find them, and whatever records the church has of him. It just takes so long to find “places” to get information.
Hi ‘Face
Is there a national census database you could use?
Good. Things went badly for the geckos on that Russian launch.
