Went pretty well, spent it with my mom
at assisted living, she’s 90.
Everyone got along so it was a nice holiday.

I’m glad you got to be with your mother. My father died last month, but my mother was here today.

We were just discussing New Year’s plans. One daughter will be staying with a friend, and another wants to have friends over. My husband suggested going out, but I don’t like being out at night on holidays. We can drink and watch TV here.

I don’t think I’ve been to a New Year’s party in 20 years. And I usually sleep through all the excitement.

In Busdaddy’s neighborhood, there are local fireworks, up and down the blocks. Even when you know that, it’s still irritating. I don’t like being startled from a good sleep by that.
