That does sound better than Boxing Day Eve.
Merry Christmas, ArGee to you and yours.
Actually, I kind of celebrate it. I was the only Jewish kid out of 100 kids in my school class, so I grew up knowing it. I love doing all the Christmasy things on’y I don’t have a tree.
Normally, I would drive around tonight to see the houses and tomorrow afternoon go to my best friend’s house to have dinner with her and her family and see her seven year old’s presents. I’ve even gone to Midnight Mass with her which I loved.
I love this time of year. Tonight it’s A Christmas Story! Do you remember Jean Shepherd on WOR?
A lot of us are alone every holiday. This year, due to his current day off and the current schedule he is driving, we will get to spend the day together. Frozen dinners for us both, though.
Both of us are on diets, and I don’t feel like cooking and prepping food all day, just to have it mess up my tiny kitchen.
You’re not really alone...there will be lots of people here.
Including me.
It would appear that Colton the domestic ultra shorthair has grown a bit more fur.
He was a rather oddball contrast to his floofy sister Ceirdwyn.
But he will never be floofy.
Morning Darks.
Is Anti Claus planning another adventure?
Sparkle’s coat is now softer and shinier than she was when I got her. The clinic was feeding her Science Diet and her hair felt like wire and had no sheen to it.
She’s been eating Fancy Feast and is improving every day.
She’s still leery of hands, which makes me think she was abused, but she can’t talk, so I don’t know. I just know she is improving a little more each day!

I will have to pull up “why we build snowmen”.
Has this been published before?
That’s great news, Face!
Miss Purry Pet Me was the same way for a long time, but it was
about her tail. She finally realized that I would never pinch her
tail, and that was the end of that.
I suspect that whoever she ran away from was very mean to her
with regard to her 4-inch long tail. She could not bear its being
touched, but I am now allowed to stroke it once or twice, and
she is all right with that.
Best wishes for your making great strides with Sparkle, and may
she become comfortable with your handling her as you slowly
acclimate her to the gentleness of your attention.
She is a good kitty and is eager to please. She spends most of the night on the bed now, but if I move and touch her, or if I move away from her, she will get off the bed, evidently thinking I’m going to do something to her. She is improving a little more each day.
Thanks for the wishes! I will tell her you said so!
Always nice to get good news about Sparkle!
I took five children to the gym in the pouring rain. Then I had a shower. Soon it will be lunchtime. Bill says he’s going to the gym. I’ll have him stop at Walmart for diapers and diet 7-up.
It has been posted, awhile back.
The neck is really messing with me. I get dizzy easily, so my instinct is to be still. It’s tiring, as well.
No gym for me, but maybe I’ll just lie down out here. I will have to open the bedroom door soon, as it isn’t going to be warm today, and the wind will blow the heat from the place in a heartbeat.
I was going to go to Busdaddy’s today for tomorrow’s dinner, but I don’t feel much like it, right now.
Maybe you can just lie there with Sparkle today and go to Busdaddy’s for tomorrow’s dinner tomorrow.
Did I mention what a pain Frank is when he can’t go outdoors?
This is possibly one of the finest pieces of literature ever “foisted” on the American public......
I think I will just stay in today, and leave for Busdaddy’s early. And not spend the night, if I can get away with it...
Yes, you did say something about Frank being a pain. Kinda reminds me of Frank Burns, M*A*S*H...
This really warms the cockles of every man’s heart. Truly a story to tell and retell to children of every age. The true meaning of Christmas.
I hate to be a wet blanket though but “Deep in the vast, ice-covered darkness of the South Pole...” Would be incorrect at Christmas time. During these months, the Southern Hemisphere is awash in sunlight, as its actually the summer season south of the equator in December.
< /runs away from the thread giggling with the laugh of the nerd he is >
Lol!
Blame both face and I, we didn’t exactly strive for accuracy there.
Fruitcake blackjacks, who thinks up such madness anyway!?
(We did)
Oh, good point. But it’s still ice-covered, at least.
