Yes, darn.
Tom will drive me to the airport, and I’ll catch a shuttle in Orlando to get to The Villages. One runs several times a day.

You know your travels will be protected. I’m hoping your dad is OK, and the stress isn’t too difficult for your mother to cope with. I know she is a strong woman.
Prayers are going up for all of you.

The Undead Thread is an unusual aspect of Free Republic. It is a harbor for those odd bits of flotsam that would otherwise be strewn across a trackless ocean, like some wayward airliner bound for the Twilight Zone.
I like to think it is not purposeless, that it provides a kind of continuity and bond that gives meaning to a rather hectic and error-prove form of communication.
We cannot draft you into membership, but judging by what appears to be your interest, let me say that this too, is the Undead Thread.

Thanks for the invite and to the others for advice.
Yeah, it was just a minor issue for me to repeatedly see posting to a zotted thread. I remember the Undead thread and others like it. Guess I wasn’t on when the bulk of the posts were occurring in those. Seems like there was a chat section at one time that didn’t appear in the main feed. Perhaps it never worked that way though.
You guys have fun in here ;) FRegards

While many or threads maybe described as flotsam some are more akin jettison, abandoned to us by there original poster. Zotted threads are the best flotsam.

Well I’ve finished my furnace and chimney cleaning. I got all the soot and debris out of the furnace chamber, cleaned the bottom of the flue where soot and leaves accumulate, and brushed the inside of the flue from the top of the chimney.
I told NicknamedSue that I had cleaned the house from top to bottom. Everything works now, but I still need to do a bit of insulation. More than a bit, actually.
Maybe later.

Well..
I found the Arctic Silver to slather on the cpu, tossed the motherboard with the slathered and heatsinked cpu into the box, hooked up a bunch of wire things, power connectors and such.
And...
Now it’s time to see if there is any loose smoke...
