Logic? In a discussion with a female? Will that work? ;-)
*hugs*

Those growler types are not my style. That said, many years ago my brother helped with the start up of a band called Floater. He built some of their equipment when he and some of the band members worked together at a chrome plating shop in Eugene, and he is actually credited by name on their debut album, Sink. Personally, I suspect the vocalists drank electrolyte fluid out of the vats to get those voices (if there were ever a place the Toxic Avenger could have really been born...).
They are doing pretty well now, still getting gigs and selling records.

Ada in Oregon, too. On what we call the backside of Siltcoos Lake and smack-dab in the middle of my old stomping grounds. Consists of a fishing resort and a county park. When I picture where I want to retire, it is just such a place (and in actuality it won't likely be far from there at all).
One of few places named for a person's first name, and also palindromic. For what its worth.

One of few places named for a person's first nameWasn't the first name of their postmaster's daughter was it?.. ;-)

Speaking of which, your pig, er, proud turkey isn’t up for election this year is it? I’m guessing not since I haven’t heard any pollpundits mention its name...

Missiles of ligneous or oterous consistence have potential of fracturing my osseous structure, but vocalized appellations will eternally remain innocuous.

Just the daughter of some early residents, is all that is said.
Ada would have originally been served by mail boat, probably from Westlake, and probably never had more than one or two families living there before the road went in (which became year round passable only within my lifetime). The West and North shores of the lake have been inhabited for a long time but Ada is the one inhabited place on the East shore. The South and East shores of Siltcoos are still not frequented by a lot of human traffic.
That is a function of the geography of the area, much of the south & east is landlocked by private timberland and even a plot my family used to have on the south shore was abandoned because the access fee was too high (at the time, I think $150 a year to use the dirt road).
That, plus the trailer tipped over.

“Bob” isn’t a common name for towns?

Tax-chick also made use of the term 'anthropodermic bibliopegy' in 2014. My education in the 1970s emphasized Greek and Latin roots.

There’s a town west of here called Glen Elg.
Anyone who wants a palindrome town, there you go.

When you need someone to talk to, don’t hesitate. But I won’t make you write out the history on an otherwise good Monday.

The pig didn’t even stump here, because he knows folks hate him so. He had Ammon Bundy singled out as a “domestic terrorist” so he has a hard time flying anywhere.
Personally, I hope the pig gets exactly what it has earned.

When I need someone to talk to, I just come here, and wait for folks to show up. Sooner or later, someone will throw out a word I haven’t heard or seen before, and my visit will be worthwhile!

My brother had twins. A boy and a girl. He couldn’t come up with names for them so he asked me to name them. I named the girl Denise, and the boy Denephew.
