With Republican chances improving by the day to take over the Senate, national Democrats have already begun the time honored tradition of blaming everyone but themselves for defeat.
The goal; get into the press first with your denial of responsibility and then when catastrophe strikes on election day, you can say "I told ya so" and retreat with little blame attached. It doesn't always work, but it's better than the alternative.
We saw Republicans engage in this feces flinging in the weeks before the elections of 2008 and 2012. Now, it is apparently the turn of the Democrats.
The finger pointing began in earnest last week, says The Hill:
Democrats are starting to play the blame game as they face the possibility of losing the Senate in November.
Tempers are running high a month out from Election Day, with polls showing Democratic candidates trailing in the crucial battleground states that will decide whether the Congress flips to Republican control.
ADVERTISEMENT The behind-the-scenes tension broke into the open last week when former Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle (D-S.D.) questioned Senate Majority Leader Harry Reids (D-Nev.) decision not to endorse Democrat Rick Weiland in South Dakotas Senate race.
Pro-immigrant advocacy groups, meanwhile, are saying Democrats should not blame them if Hispanic voters dont turn up to the polls on Election Day. They say President Obama made a tactical blunder by postponing an executive order easing deportations.
And grassroots organizers are grumbling about Alison Lundergan Grimess bid to take down Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), arguing her campaign has been disorganized.

They can solve the problem of Obama postponing amnesty until after the election by spreading the word to Hispanics that it's OK...even if you are not a citizen, you can still vote.
Not counting that weenie period of "power sharing" in GWB's first term.
No one we know... Lynching is passe unfortunately for us, fortunately for the rinos and rats that have destroyed a once mighty engine of good and prosperity with 660 trillion in debt.
Kick the can down the road. Cowards and narcissists have run this country for decades now.
They lost the number count as of January 2007.
They lost the backbone count long before.
Who’s “we” ? Actually it will be worse if repuglicans win because they will do everything in their power to appease Obama and the democrat minority
So, you are supporting Reid? I would like to see a new Majority Leader, but if the Republican caucus chooses McConnell, they will have made a mistake that is orders of magnitude better than Harry Reid.

Electing conservatives makes sense, fighting RINOS makes sense, but electing a leftist Democrat as your senator does not make sense.
I think you are being unfair to McConnell. I expect him to continue his pattern of negotiating any legislation incrementally rightward. He has two problems, getting any legislation passed that is more conservative than the most liberal republican can support is unlikely to happen, and Boehner is likely to continue his pattern of highly conservative show votes and supporting Obama's agenda in its entirety.
As a practical matter without the full support of his caucus and House leadership, the most McConnell can do is force votes that make Dems squirm.
Dump McConnell for Grimes? Jeez, I do not want someone who will agree with Obama 100% of the time. McConnell is better.
The only vote worse than for McConnell is for the death cultist Grimes. We’ll have take a swig of our moonshine and consider which alternative we’ll choose.
Stop it. Stop it. at least there will be no Harry Reid who has been more destructive to America than Obama. Just stop it.
In 2015, we will learn that there is no difference between Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid with the sole exception that Mitch McConnell will actually be held accountable for his actions.
I don’t trust the Dems, voter fraud is their expertise!
RINOs
Too late to dump him, that’s what the primary was for.
Let’s not get cocky....
We KNOW that the Dems will use as much fraud as they think they can get away with...
And since corrupt “cronyism” pays very well, the Dems have plenty of money.
I’d to see some of our “I’d-never-vote-for-a-RINO” FRiends vote for GOPe candidates — just to offset a few of the votes cast by dead people to keep Harry Reid in power.
I wonder if, on Election Day, Obama will “suspend” voting in conservative areas due to the high risk of “ebola” there.
Donchaknow, we can’t be too “safe”....
