The soot-smudged flag that flew atop the Capitol on 9/11 was destroyed Friday in a fire at the Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville, Penn., less than a month after it arrived in Somerset County.

makes you wonder a bit, doesn’t it?
About what?
it was the will of allah, alahu akbar obama
Yep
Makes me think that it was intentional. They should have cameras all over the memorial.
Inside job?
Is this “THE” flag that flew over the Capitol that day or “A” flag? there’s a ceremony pretty much every day where they raise a basket of flags that they then claim “flew over the Capitol” on X date.
Work place combustion
Why would the flag that flew above the Capitol on 9-11 be soot smudged,
If thats the case its just as silly as when presidents sign a bill or law and use a box of pens its a waste of time and money
I’m certainly wondering what the cause of the fire was.
Look, I lost my Dad 8 weeks ago. The biggest thing. YES I wonder...
Ok, sorry. I failed to consider that some nefarious individuals would wait until this particular flag was delivered to commit arson. I just realized that I was wearing aluminum foil instead of tin foil.
So more than just the flag was lost.
Because of all the stinky chimneys and the coal-fired heating system in the Capitol :-)
Truthfully, I’m more outraged that there are three administration buildings and a conference center sucking up our tax dollars at that site and the memorial hasn’t even been built yet.
This particular memorial to the heroes of 9/11 has been fraught with controversy from the very beginning, as is footprint has the same proportions as the islamic crescent and star formation. While I am not saying that the timing or even the fact that the flag was recently delivered is suspicious, it just makes me wonder if arson was involved. Has the design of the memorial been altered recently? Has construction of the memorial been hampered in any way by this event? Just asking.
National Park Service .... says it all!
I am so sorry for your loss, FRiend. I’ve been through that recently myself.
(((HUGS))))
