I've got news for you - most of the Conservatives have left the Republican party too.

I understand that. I am registered as a Republican so that I can vote in primaries. I do not give money to the GOP, never have, choosing to send money directly to conservative candidates. I am not longer a member of our county Republican party, they are worse than useless. But, I vote for Republicans because that's how political power is gained and exercised. Have you noticed that the only two Independent members of the U.S. Senate caucus with the Democrats and are left of Karl Marx. Greg Orman, "Independent" running for the Senate in Kansas will do the same. I can't think of a conservative independent in any national office. Makes people feel better, I suppose. Doesn't do anything to help elect conservatives.

That just gets you more Republicans, not more Conservatives.
