Centurion shakes his finger at we children, berating us:
This has everything to do with emotion and very little to do with the execution of a winning political strategy. Voting for someone so low as to lie to black Democrats (Cochran) and get them to vote illegally in a primary is "winning political strategy"? Voting for a presidential candidate, Romney, who was philosophically on board with Democrats on every major issue from abortion and nationalized health care to environmentalism and the gay agenda, when you seek to OPPOSE the Democrats on those issues, is "winning political strategy"?
Retribution, revenge, getting even -- they are your own fantasies. Me, I'm a Christian who is mindful that vengeance belongs to the Lord, and that revenge or "getting even" is bad behavior in His eyes, so I resist the temptation. Instead, I will vote FOR a winning strategy when I see one. Your Republican strategy is a losing one -- I should know, as I was stupid enough to vote your way for many decades, only to see the Republican party drift ever and ever leftward -- because I was confusing intent (voting "against" the Democrat) with action (voting for a statist leftist registered as a Republican). I have woken up.
You are still slumbering.

Amen, pilgrim.

Well said Finny.
Hopefully we will be able to convince the weak-kneed among conservatives to buck-up and fight the good fight. Sadly, there are those among us, the morally challenged, for whom pragmatism and party unity is more important than principle.
