I certainly did not mean that you were lobbing insults on FR. You have not insulted nor threatened anyone. If I gave you that impression then please accept my sincerest apologies. That was never my intention.
I was speaking of the McConnell, Barbour, Rove, Cochran et al.
In fact, I think your heart is in the right place. You just haven’t reached the breaking point the way the rest of us have.
The establishment has been so over the top in the last two years denying and fighting against conservative principles and those who espouse them that we no longer buy into Mitt Romney’s condescending belief that we will hold our noses and vote for the establishment because we have “nowhere else yo go.”
The establishment would rather spend their effort and money defeating what is good for America in an effort to maintain control of the party apparatus instead of focusing on what is right for America. The way we see it, the establishment is perfectly content to lose elections so long as they get to keep their power and seats in DC.
It is not the base that is cutting our noses off to spite our face. It is the establishment selling their souls and their nation for personal gain. Their problem now is that the conservative movement has forced the establishment hand and they have exposed themselves for everyone to see in their panic and naked lust to hold onto power under any and all circumstances.
That is why Rove is out there begging for dollars, volunteers and votes. The jig is up!
That's true and it's because of low expectations on my part. I know a number of politicians. I can't think of a single one that I like. They are all about themselves and I don't expect them to behavior differently. Honor, integrity, and strong principles are for the little people. I judge them on their behavior and I use my vote to try to influence their behavior. I pick the best of the litter but none of them are going to do much more than sleep on the porch and demand more dog food.
