Since Canada is involved I guess you can really call it a World Series now. I’m waiting for Japan or Germany or Russia to get into the game.

Giants showed what experience will do for you. Had a good approach, singles up the middle and cutting down on swings. Nats bats looked rusty to me, and they have some real flailers anyway. The Giants had to fight up to the end of the season and into the NL WC. Playing simulated games isn’t able to keep the edge on a team. Hopefully they’ll get into the groove tomorrow, if not it looks really grim for Matt’s Nats.

Just shoot me now. I hate the Giants.
Still a lot of division series left, and the Expos - excuse me, Nats - are stronger everywhere except maybe the bullpen. I'd still anticipate a Dodgers-Nationals CS.
Given the way Golden State got rid of Mark Jackson, it's first winning coach in over a decade, and given the indications that the 49ers intend to get rid Jim Harbaugh, their first winning coach in a decade, I'm a little surprised that the Giants have hung on to a quality manager like Bochy - the Giants and A's may be the only Bay Area teams run by grown-ups.

Washington Senators left DC half a century ago!The 1969 Washington Senators played 162 games during the regular season, won 86 games, lost 76 games, and finished in fourth position. They played their home games at R.F.K. Stadium

Actually the original senators DID move from DC 50 years ago. They left following the 1960 season or so and reappearing in Minneapolis as the ‘Twins’ for the 1961 season. The second Senators team started play in 1961, (also), in DC as a new expansion franchise replacing the old one. (Some legal issues were behind a lot of this crazy 1960-1961 era move/replacement thing also). The old/first Senators team records were continued in Minn. Ie: Career stats for batting, pitching etc. Then they off to Texas and other future stops.

You betcha!
Still suffering sleep deprivation but I can hang on longer, though I'd rather the boys get it done in the 9th!
That could be their strategy, wearing out those older, bigger players, running all over with their youth and vigor into the hours after midnight!

I predict that the decision to go with Soriano in the 16th will prove to be fatal.
as opposed to Gio Gonzalez or Roark or Fister.
