I presume they found some way to make these renovations without shutting down the park for two seasons.

My beloved, ALDS-bound Kansas City Royals did a two year rebuild of Kauffman Stadium between 2007 and 2009 and still played there during the year. Most of the work was done off season.

The other day a guy was walking his dog in front of my house. He caught me staring at him. He gave me a dirty look.

I’m sure he thought I was staring at him because he was black.

I was staring at him because he was wearing a KC Royals cap.
Had not seen anybody actually wearing once since the 80’s.

Kaufman Stadium is definitely one of my favorite ballparks, I was happy the Royals won just so I could watch more games from there on TV.
