As each day comes to us refreshed and anew, so does my gratitude renew itself daily. The breaking of the sun over the horizon is my grateful heart dawning upon a blessed world. ~Terri Guillemets

Happy Grati-Tuesday!

A Winter Night

My window-pane is starred with frost,
The world is bitter cold to-night,
The moon is cruel, and the wind
Is like a two-edged sword to smite.

God pity all the homeless ones,
The beggars pacing to and fro.
God pity all the poor to-night
Who walk the lamp-lit streets of snow.

My room is like a bit of June,
Warm and close-curtained fold on fold,
But somewhere, like a homeless child,
My heart is crying in the cold.

Sara Teasdale

A Happy GratiTuesday to everyone here at Amy's Place!

Happy GratiTuesday, All!!

It's so nice to have this wonderful respite, from the hustle and bustle of the season, to visit with FRiends, enjoy much appreciated Scripture and messages and take a mental vacation, via the beautiful graphics.

Stopping in to offer ((hugs)) and hello to all ~ on this GratiTuesday ;-)

Peace and Joy....as we remember that He is the reason for this beautiful season!

Making a pot of gumbo, listening to Christmas classics and doing some gift wrapping. Enjoy your evening and week.

Hi Jane! You described Amy’s Place so well, as a mental vacation. That’s what all the nice posts from friends and pretty and /or cute pictures and Scripture do for us.

Merry Christmas to all!

Some Mannheim Steamroller for our grati-Tuesday. Mannheim Streamroller is one of my favorite parts of the Christmas season. I am grateful for music and the miracle of hearing so that I may enjoy it.

Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum,
Wie grün sind deine Blätter!
Du grünst nicht nur zur Sommerzeit,
Nein auch im Winter, wenn es schneit.
Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum,
Wie grün sind deine Blätter!

Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum,
Du kannst mir sehr gefallen!
Wie oft hat schon zur Winterzeit
Ein Baum von dir mich hoch erfreut!
Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum,
Du kannst mir sehr gefallen!

Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum,
Dein Kleid will mich was lehren:
Die Hoffnung und Beständigkeit
Gibt Mut und Kraft zu jeder Zeit!
Oh Tannenbaum, oh Tannenbaum,
Dein Kleid will mich was lehren!
