I talked to the floor sales person and he said the Windows 8 machines would be fixed but each time after the next few days someone would sabotage them again. All the Macs were working just fine.

What does that tell you?

That windows 8 is so fragile, it can be screwed up by someone in minutes, even if it's just a demo model? That the "techs" at the place had no idea how to actually lock the things down so they couldn't be screwed with?

No, none of that. Some of the keyboards had been damaged and it appeared certain essential drivers had been removed or malware had been downloaded to mess with them. The units themselves were secured with a cable. It was obviously a deliberate act by someone or some group.

What it tells is there is a certain vicious element that has Microsoft as a target. Or in this case it could have been just one person who was/is fixated on harming Microsoft.

My question is where is the same element when Google or Apple foul up? For example, Apple came out recently with an IOS upgrade that interfered and shut down iphone user’s phone ability. That’s a very serious foul up. Now they announce a patch that is supposed to fix that problem but there’s almost no mention of this foul up by those who constantly bash Microsoft. Why is that?
